So Scary

Today we had a big scare at our home. At about 3:30 this afternoon, I was sitting in the living room, feeding the little baby I've been watching a bottle, and waiting for his mom to pick him up. When I heard a knock at the door, figuring it was Paula (the baby's mom) I didn't get up to answer the door because she usually walks in..... She did not walk in, so Tyler went and opened the door. That's when I hear a male voice say, "did someone here call 911"!?! In a panic, I ran to the door to find an ambulance and fire truck parked in my front yard!! After talking to him we realized that there was a miss communication and they were suppose to be at a home just down the road, where a elderly man was waiting for them. (Luckily he ended up being fine, I guess he was suffering from high altitude sickness.) But before we figured the mix up out, Paula drove up and upon seeing the emergency vehicles in my yard started crying, for fear something had happened. I felt bad for the mix up, and glad that nothing major had happened. As many of you know, there has been quite a few tragedies this past year, so this little incident caused a few calls of concern, as people saw the emergency team in our yard. I'm so glad that I could answer the calls with something positive.. My heart aches for those who have experienced the other side of that.
